Finding the right skate for you means finding the model that fits your foot best. If you’re unsure if this skate will be best for you, or you’re looking for the most accurate measurement you can get, visit your local Pure Hockey.
The Tacks XF70 boot has a 2D metaframe construction and is made from synthetic composite with a faux carbon skin. The ergonomic shape of the skate provides comfort within a light and durable boot. Inside the skate, the HD microfiber liner provides high resistance to wear and tear with an added EVA layer for comfort and a better fit.
These skates have a 7mm black felt tongue with a foam core reinforcement down the center for top-of-the-foot comfort, and protection against stray pucks and slashes. It also does a nice job preventing lace bite.
Rounding out this skate is the XS Speedblade holder and the CCM XS runner. This holder has a spring-lock system that tightly secures the blade to the holder and makes swapping out blades more efficient.
The CCM Tacks XF70 hockey skate is a great option for the recreational or newer-to-hockey skater who is looking for something with good features that will give you a comfortable and durable skate for more occasional use.

Intermediate Hockey Skates
Intermediate hockey skates are sized to fit kids in the range of approximately 10 to 13 years old with a US shoe size of 5 to 7.
JUNIOR Hockey Skates
Junior hockey skates are sized to fit kids in the range of approximately 8 to 10 years old with a US shoe size of 2 to 4.5.
YOUTH Hockey Skates
Youth hockey skates are sized to fit toddlers and young children in the age range of approximately 9 years old and younger with a US youth shoe size of 1.5 or smaller.
*Female Skaters*
The difference between men's shoes and women's shoes is 1.5 to 2 sizes. So, if you wear size 9 women's shoes, that translates to a men's size 7.5 or 7.0, which would put you in a size 6 senior hockey skate. More simply put, go 2.5 or 3 sizes down from your women's shoe size in order to find your hockey skate size.
