CCM has built the Tacks XR with its highly advanced One-Piece Boot made with lightweight RFM composite. This skate is engineered for the modern power skater with intense strides looking for explosiveness without restriction. The carbon composite wraps under the boot and because of this, energy is no longer lost or absorbed by a glued and nailed outsole but instead is now transferred directly through the boot to the ice.
 
Returning from previous CCM skate models, the ADPT Comfort Tongue continues to provide a lightweight feel without sacrificing protection. Its molded core construction and FlexMotion lace-bite protection work together to enhance comfort, improve fit, and deliver reliable performance on the ice.
 
For enhanced comfort, CCM has integrated ADPT Memory Foam throughout the skate's interior and footbed. This high-density foam quickly conforms to the shape of your foot, creating a personalized fit from the moment you step into the skate.
 
Further elevating comfort is the TotalDri Pro liner. This moisture-wicking liner helps keep feet dry and the skate feeling lightweight throughout play, while the responsive foam contours to the foot for a secure, locked-in fit. 
 
At the base of the skate is CCM’s premium STEP Steel runner. Engineered and polished to a mirror-like finish, this high-quality steel delivers exceptional edge retention, enhanced glide, and increased speed, helping players maximize their performance with every stride.
 
Rounding out the XR skate is the Speedblade XS holder with an enhanced dial. The quick-release dial is designed for improved grip, making runner changes faster and easier on the fly.

SENIOR Hockey Skates
Senior hockey skates are sized to fit adults and full grown teenagers with a Men's US shoe size of 8 or greater.

Intermediate Hockey Skates
Intermediate hockey skates are sized to fit kids in the range of approximately 10 to 13 years old with a US shoe size of 5 to 7.

JUNIOR Hockey Skates
Junior hockey skates are sized to fit kids in the range of approximately 8 to 10 years old with a US shoe size of 2 to 4.5.

YOUTH Hockey Skates
Youth hockey skates are sized to fit toddlers and young children in the age range of approximately 9 years old and younger with a US youth shoe size of 1.5 or smaller.

To find your hockey skate size, it's best to choose skates that are 2.5 to 3 sizes smaller than your women's shoe size. For example, if you wear a women's size 8 shoe, you'd need a size 5 or 5.5 skate.
