The XR90 features a one-piece quarter package construction and is built with RFM Composite, a lightweight material engineered for high-end performance. This one-piece design creates a close-to-the-foot fit, enhancing responsiveness and providing a stronger connection between the skater and the ice. The carbon composite construction extends beneath the boot, eliminating the need for a traditional glued and nailed outsole. As a result, energy is transferred more efficiently through the skate and directly to the ice, reducing power loss and helping players generate stronger, more explosive strides.
 
Returning from previous CCM skate models, the ADPT Comfort Tongue delivers a lightweight feel without compromising protection. Its molded core construction, combined with FlexMotion lace-bite protection, enhances comfort, improves fit, and provides the confidence players need to perform at their best.
 
To further elevate comfort, CCM incorporates ADPT Memory Foam throughout the skate's interior and footbed. This high-density foam quickly adapts to the unique contours of the foot, creating a personalized fit that feels comfortable from the very first stride while delivering long-lasting support throughout every skate session.
The TotalDri Pro liner takes comfort to the next level with advanced moisture-wicking properties that help keep feet dry and the skate feeling lightweight from puck drop to the final whistle. Combined with responsive foam that molds to the foot, it creates a secure, locked-in fit that enhances both comfort and control.
 
At the base of the skate CCM uses a new black coated XS1 steel. This steel will give you better attack angles and improved longevity, while the stainless steel provides a long-lasting edge. Rounding out the XR skate is the Speedblade XS holder. The quick-release dial will help make runner changes easier on the fly so you don't miss a shift.
 
CCM has included several new upgrades into the XR90 skate that focuses on power and explosiveness. If you are an elite-level player looking for a less expensive skate or a performance player looking to jump up a model, the Tacks XF90 is a great option.

SENIOR Hockey Skates
Senior hockey skates are sized to fit adults and full grown teenagers with a Men's US shoe size of 8 or greater.

Intermediate Hockey Skates
Intermediate hockey skates are sized to fit kids in the range of approximately 10 to 13 years old with a US shoe size of 5 to 7.

JUNIOR Hockey Skates
Junior hockey skates are sized to fit kids in the range of approximately 8 to 10 years old with a US shoe size of 2 to 4.5.

YOUTH Hockey Skates
Youth hockey skates are sized to fit toddlers and young children in the age range of approximately 9 years old and younger with a US youth shoe size of 1.5 or smaller.

To find your hockey skate size, it's best to choose skates that are 2.5 to 3 sizes smaller than your women's shoe size. For example, if you wear a women's size 8 shoe, you'd need a size 5 or 5.5 skate.
