The TRUE AX7 hockey stick carries a good deal of technologies found on the top of the line AX9 at a slightly lower price point. These technologies have helped to strengthen the stick while reducing weight and improving balance.
- FiberShield for durability
- BRT+ Blade Tech for increased heel strength
- SmartPly for impact strength and balance
- Axenic Tech for a true one-piece build
When purchasing a new hockey stick, there are many factors to consider ensuring you get the best model for your level and style of play. To start, it is important to focus on kick point. Finding the right kick point for your game will help take your shot, and your overall on-ice performance, to the next level. If you’re unsure which kick point suits you best, or you’re looking for an accurate assessment, visit your local Pure Hockey.
Featuring a low kick, the flex point on the AX7 is built into the bottom third of the shaft, near the hosel for easing loading and a lightning-quick release on wristers and snapshots. This low kick build is great for in tight shots and situations where you don’t have a lot of time to wind up a full shot.
In the shaft, the AX7 utilizes a SmartPly design. This is a process that optimizes the fiber construction in the shaft so that there are 25 layers in the unidirectional weave, providing a lightweight feel and exceptional strength.
Weighing in at 418 grams on the senior model, the AX7 is heavier than the top of the line AX9, but is still constructed with TRUE’s new FiberShield. FiberShield is an advanced resin system that yields consistent particle distribution throughout the stick. This also lowers the weight of the stick and increases the durability.
BRT+ technology is still found in the blade construction in the AX7. This blade design creates a stronger and lighter blade, with special attention paid to heel durability. With this new technology, you can expect a blade that is consistent, durable, and responsive. While the previous model’s BRT technology proved to be a solid innovation, TRUE was able to grow on this foundation to create a lightweight blade with increased strength.
Capping off the tech a spec in the AX7 is Axenic technology that creates a true one-piece stick build. This seamless build combines a compression-molded shaft into the blade.
The TRUE AX7 offers many of the features found on the top of the line model at a slightly high weight but at a somewhat more affordable price.
