An essential part of the patented iBP technology is the customized protective component and its hybrid structure. Each component is built of two distinct elements combined to deliver superior properties. The PP injected frame is designed to be ventilated and use less material, while its structural and reinforced geometry distributes the impact.

The EPP foam base, chosen for its lightness and absorption attributes, is seamlessly embedded under the frame. Combined as one, the light and vented iBP high performance components absorb and dissipate impact energy, reducing the amount of force that gets transmitted to the user’s body.

The waist belt keeps the user protected with an iBP back cap and two iBP kidney caps. The iBP hip and thigh caps are removable in order to replace and adjust the protective components for easy embroidery and leg decoration. The vented iBP caps work in conjunction with the vented liner to let air flow in and out of the product. With the lightweight and breathable yet wear resistant material used for the shell, the Catalyst 9X4 pant truly redefines the requirements of pro hockey pants.
