The new TRUE XC5 ACF hockey stick features high-end technologies and performance benefits that can be appreciated by any level of player. TRUE has commited to enhancing their 2019 X-Series sticks with the same patented technologies that the pros enjoy, and the results can be seen throughout the line, including the new XC5 model.

  • XCORE Gen 2 for increased control and accuracy
  • BRT+ for excellent blade durability
  • Axenic technology for a greater feel
  • SmartPly for increased shaft durability

Although the XC5 sits at the lowest price point of the new X-Series models, it still features some of TRUE’s top technologies found in their elite level sticks. A perfect example is the XCORE Gen 2, one of the main highlights of the 2019 X-Series line. This technology provides a repositioned insert that creates a sweet spot that is three times larger than its predecessor. This promotes optimal puck spin and puck trajectory to give you powerful, accurate shots. The second generation of this technology also provides increased absorption which dampens the impact of incoming passes, giving you greater puck control up and down the ice.

The XC5 also uses BRT+, another innovation found in the top-of-the-line XC9 model. This patented technology is incorporated in the blade design to promote a stronger and lighter blade with increased heel durability. With the increased strength and improved feel of this blade, you can fire off shots of all kind with confidence.

The high-end features continue in this model with TRUE’s Axenic technology, a patented process which creates a true and unique one-piece stick design. The result is a product that feels like an extension of your hands. And when combined with the XCORE Gen 2, this technology will enhance control and overall feel, whether you’re making crisp passes or handling the puck on the rush.

The XC5 ACF also uses SmartPly technology to create a balanced and lightweight stick, without sacrificing durability. These results are achieved through TRUE’s process of optimizing the order of fiber angles to create up to 25 layers of unidirectional carbon fiber in the shaft. This trusted technology, found throughout the line and in previous generations, has proven its consistency and performance benefits.

TRUE has placed a major focus on Swing Weight with the new X-Series line. Swing Weight is not directly related to the weight of the stick, but rather how the weight feels during play. Their focus on this idea has produced an entire line of hockey sticks that prove to be stronger and more balanced with uncompromised power, thanks to the enhanced weight distribution. The Senior model of the XC5 has a weight of 495 grams with a Swing Weight of 685 grams. While this Swing Weight is heavier than The XC9 and XC7 models (630 grams and 655 grams, respectively), it still proves to have an excellent weight distribution for its price point.

TRUE’s X-Series is all about accuracy, control, and feel. Their innovation, paired with trusted technologies from previous generations, proves to enhance these performance benefits. And the benefits can be found throughout the line, including in the XC5 ACF stick. Whether you’re a high-level player searching the market for an affordable mid-kick option, or a performance-level player or beginner looking for a high-quality stick with many top technologies, the XC5 has all the features you’re looking for.

Can this stick be turned into a two piece for inline so that it accepts a standard blade?

Asked by: TomFrederick
We would not recommend it as the stick is tapered where the blade is located
