The new TRUE XC7 ACF hockey stick has all the technologies and performance benefits of an elite level model, at a lower price point. With TRUE’s commitment to innovation in their 2019 sticks, the XC7 proves to be an excellent option for any player looking for a high-end mid-kick option.

  • XCORE Gen 2 for increased sweet spot
  • BRT+ for enhanced blade strength
  • Axenic technology for a true one-piece design
  • SmartFlex for an optimized flex profile
  • SmartPly for a durable shaft

The 2019 XC7 makes improvements over the previous generation with advanced technologies such as the XCORE Gen 2. This insert has been redesigned and redistributed within the middle of the blade, creating a sweet spot that is three times larger than its predecessor. This increased sweet spot helps to lessen the initial puck impact from passes and create the optimal puck spin for shots, which ultimately provides more puck control and greater accuracy, a major advantage of the new X-Series line.

Like the XC9 model, the XC7 also takes advantage of TRUE’s new BRT+ technology. This blade design creates a stronger and lighter blade, with special attention paid to heel durability. With this new technology, you can expect a blade that is consistent, durable, and responsive. While the previous model’s BRT technology proved to be a solid innovation, TRUE was able to grow on this foundation to create a lightweight blade with increased strength.

TRUE carries over some key features from its previous generation into the XC7. The new model includes Axenic technology which creates a unique one-piece shaft design through the process of compressing a molded shaft into a true-one-piece stick. This process results in a seamless construction, allowing for ultimate control and feel every time you stick handle, pass, or shoot. The shaft construction also gets a boost from TRUE’s SmartPly technology in which up to 25 layers of unidirectional carbon fiber are ordered into the shaft to create a balanced, lightweight, and durable stick.

SmartFlex technology is also implemented into the XC7 ACF, providing this stick with a stiffness profile that fits all shot types. With this technology, you can count on powerful and accurate shots, whether you’re winding up for a shot from the point or snapping off a quick shot from the dots. And with the combination of the SmartFlex design and the XCORE Gen 2 technology, the XC7 proves to be a highly responsive stick offering you the benefits of increased puck control and shot accuracy.

The TRUE XC7 has many of the same technological benefits as the X-Series’ top model, the XC9. The main difference comes in weight. The XC7 weighs 455 grams, compared to the 425-gram XC9 model. But TRUE has placed a major focus on the importance of Swing Weight. The science of this idea shows that the lightest stick isn’t always the best performing. TRUE focuses on Swing Weight, which is how the weight of the stick feels during play. At 655 grams, the XC7 has a heavier Swing Weight than the top-of-the-line XC9, but proves to compete with other top-end sticks in this unique category across the market.

TRUE’s XC7 stick has the technological features of a top-end stick, all at a price that high-level players can appreciate. Even if you’re a performance-level or casual player, the XC7 proves to be a great choice.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk I purchased this stick approximately 2 weeks ago. My son played two games and three practices and the stick broke already! I should have known better because his teammate had broken 2 True hockey sticks in the matter of 3 weeks, before switching to another brand. I do not recommend this product to anybody!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality Son has two of them. First broke within warranty and second broke outside of warranty. Like the design and feel but quality does not hold up compared to the other brands we were used to using.
